The LP550 LED lights are ideal for today’s mid-sized trucks, Jeeps, and SUV’s. The unique Driving Beam was designed to give users extended beam reach while still providing side and shoulder illumination. The integrated Reflector Facing Technology precisely controls the light output while keeping SAE-Y Compliant beam that eliminates glare for oncoming traffic and gives you peace of mind that you are running a street legal product. The LP550 mounting base has been re-engineered to include a metal collar, giving you ease of mind in even the roughest terrain.
PIAA wanted to perfect LED lighting when we designed rearward-facing bulbs and new “first-in-the-industry” reflector technology. The innovative design offers significantly improved lighting and beam control compared to conventional LED and halogen lamps with forward-facing bulbs. The result is greater visibility for drivers.
Key to achieving these performance advantages is PIAA’s advanced Reflective Facing Technology (RFT). PIAA’s exclusive computer-designed, multi-surface reflector concentrates and focuses the beam pattern of the rearward-facing LED bulbs more precisely than forward-facing LED lamps. RFT is featured in PIAA’s LP Series and RF Series LED lights.
Both series of PIAA LED lamps provide brilliant illumination, but with lower power consumption than conventional LED and halogen lamps. They light the road with brilliant cobalt-blue color that is clearly visible to oncoming traffic, providing an added measure of driving safety. The lamps are compact and durable, with the cast aluminum housings and polycarbonate lenses.
Bought a set of two LP550 about 2 years ago, have to say i an very pleased with the light output, amount of light on the road as well as on the side of the road. I live in Norway where in the winter its dark most of the time, narrow roads and many animals around the road. So good light is vital to se where you are headed. They have survived quite some time now, om different terrain and have been out to the test, and passed. Very good in plain dark, good in rain, works fine in heavy snow, but would maybe considering getting a set of yellow ones for that purpose.
Will buy 2 more, they're tough, strong and eye caching

Bought these lights to put on my 2010 Subaru Forrester with the help of a Rally Innovations light bar. They both look good aesthetically speaking and perform phenomenally. They perform great both as a fog light and as a driving light depending on what angle I adjust them too which is great living in northern Minnesota where both long stretches of dark road and dense fog rolling in off Lake Superior is common. They have had no issues so far holding up to freezing rain, and the intense sub zero temperatures we have been having recently.

My only qualm with these lights is is states very specifically in the manual that they should not be mounted upside down, I am not entirely sure why however. That is a bit of a bummer though as I would love to hang a second set on the underside of my bar with yellow lenses to be better effective in dust and fog.

These lights are awesome. They are super bright with very little power consumption. Would recommend to anyone looking for long range driving lights. I did use a different switch to match factory, but it easily adapted into the PIAA harness. Great product!
Installed the LP550s on my JK and not disappointed. The beam is very focused, reach out very good distance. I installed with my windshield mounted brackets took maybe 30 minutes including wiring. The wiring instructions are good and I wired the switch power into my high beams.
