Unfortunately, I was never able to use/enjoy the PIAA replacement bulb because one of the prongs broke upon installation. Normally this would not have happened as I am mechanically inclined and careful. Perhaps an included warning on the card/package that incased the bulb would have prevented the damage. A warning may have been there, but I can't read Japanese! Otherwise, the person that handled my order on the phone was great, and the delivery was more than prompt. It hurts though that $50.00 was spent on something that no longer can be used.
I love these lights. People can see me when I ride because they are so very bright. Once in a while someone blink their highs at me because they are annoyed with the brightness, but to me that just shows that the lights are doing their job, making me visible.
In 2007 I took my first night ride on my Vulcan and felt that cars could not see me well enough. These PIAA lights made all the difference. Even though I mounted them low to the ground 18". I am now seen as a bright light on 2 wheels. Thanks I feel safer on the road now.
