SPREAD FORGED ALLOY WHEELS
PIAA Forged Alloy Wheels are manufactured using the spread-forged process. The spread forging process utilizes intense heat and extremely high pressure, which reduces variation in the composition of the material. The result is an extraordinary high strength wheel. A forged wheel can be up to 300 percent stronger than a cast wheel. Also, because the forging process requires less material to achieve greater strength, the wheels overall weight is significantly reduced. A lighter weight wheel allows for faster acceleration, better
handling and improved braking. The forging process also provides for an unsurpassed, high quality show finish.
